About Angela Turner
I am Angela Turner, founder of Turner Dog Training.
Most of us have one dog who stays with us forever. For me, that was Sally. A crossbreed with a huge heart and a lasting impact on the way I see dogs and the role they play in our lives.
After Sally, I got Maisey. She came with her own challenges and her own behaviour struggles, and that changed everything. I did not just want to manage what was in front of me. I wanted to understand it. That need to understand led me somewhere I did not expect.
I started a dog walking business and gained hands-on experience with a wide range of breeds and temperaments. From there I invested heavily in my own development, travelling across the UK to learn from experienced trainers and to New Orleans to gain further practical experience. Once I started training, I knew it was exactly what I was meant to do. I stepped away from walking and committed to it fully.
Today I work alongside Maisey, Ivy, my Bearded Collie, and Frankie, my Dachshund. Three completely different dogs who remind me every day how important it is to understand the individual in front of you rather than applying the same approach to every dog.
What I Believe
Good training is built on clear guidance, fairness and a genuine understanding of both the dog and the owner in front of you.
Every dog is different. Every owner is different. Taking the time to understand what both actually need is what makes the difference between advice that sounds right and training that genuinely works.
My job is not just to train your dog. It is to give you the knowledge, the skills and the confidence to understand and guide your dog yourself. That is what creates lasting results rather than temporary improvement.

What My Clients Experience
The shift I see most often is this. Owners who arrive feeling frustrated, uncertain and stuck leave with a dog they genuinely enjoy being around and the confidence to handle whatever comes next.
From dreading walks to looking forward to them. From managing a dog who could not pass another animal without reacting to taking them anywhere without a second thought. From wondering if things will ever improve to knowing, with complete certainty, that they have.
That is what this work is about.
Transformations From Turner dog Training Clients
The heart of my work is not just in the methods I use, but in the owners and dogs I have had the privilege to work with. I am proud to have helped owners build better relationships with their dogs, overcome challenges they once thought impossible, and enjoy a new level of trust and freedom together.
The transformations I have seen are a reminder of why I do this — and why I am committed to supporting every client properly, with honesty, care, and real guidance.
